We often ask God to make life easier—to take away the pain, the suffering, and the challenges we face. Even Jesus, right before enduring beatings and death on the cross, asked God for another way. Yet, in the face of it all, He surrendered with, “May your will be done” (Matthew 26:42). This Good Friday, let’s find encouragement in knowing that Jesus understood the depths of fear and still found a way forward.
