1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChurchGrid ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChurchGrid is a sermon streaming and church discovery platform. We aggregate publicly available sermon content from churches and make it searchable and streamable through our platform. We do not host video content directly — all video is streamed from YouTube.

ChurchGrid uses YouTube API Services to surface sermon content. By using ChurchGrid, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and current account information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

Sermon content displayed on ChurchGrid belongs to the respective churches and their pastors. ChurchGrid does not claim ownership of sermon content. By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use content for personal, non-commercial purposes only
• Not download, reproduce, or redistribute sermon content without permission from the content owner
• Respect the intellectual property rights of churches and content creators

The ChurchGrid platform, branding, and original content are owned by ChurchGrid and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Promotional clip license (church opt-in). If an authorized representative of a church enables “Let ChurchGrid feature short clips of our sermons” (for example, during the claim-your-church process), that church grants ChurchGrid a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to reproduce, edit, and publicly display short excerpts (generally 60 seconds or less) of the church’s publicly available sermon recordings to promote the church and the ChurchGrid platform, including on third-party social media. The church represents that it owns or controls the rights to grant this license. ChurchGrid attributes the church and links to its ChurchGrid profile, and excludes third-party musical works — ChurchGrid does not use clips containing licensed worship music. A church may revoke this license at any time via its church settings or by contacting us, after which ChurchGrid will stop creating new clips and remove existing clips from ChurchGrid-controlled channels within a reasonable period; copies already redistributed by third parties may persist.

5. Premium Subscriptions

ChurchGrid offers optional paid Premium subscriptions with additional features. By subscribing:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use ChurchGrid to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Impersonate a church, pastor, or other person
• Upload or transmit malicious code
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

7. Church Listings

ChurchGrid aggregates publicly available information about churches. If you represent a church and wish to claim, update, or remove your listing, please use our church claim feature or contact us at legal@church-grid.com.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not endorse or verify the theological positions of any church or sermon content on the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChurchGrid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
