Watching & Using the Site
What is ChurchGrid?
ChurchGrid is a free sermon streaming platform that indexes content from churches across the country and makes it searchable, browsable, and free to watch. Think of it as a streaming platform built specifically for church content — sermons, worship music, podcast episodes, and live Sunday services. No cable subscription, no paywall, no algorithm deciding what you see.
Do I need an account to watch?
No account is required to browse or watch sermons. Create a free account if you want to save sermons to My List, track Continue Watching across devices, follow churches, or receive live stream alerts. Signing up takes less than a minute.
How do I find a church near me?
Go to the Churches page and filter by state and city. You can also type a church name, pastor name, or city directly into the search bar. Each church profile shows their location, denomination, service times, and full sermon library.
How do I watch a live church service?
Go to the Live page to see every church currently streaming. ChurchGrid automatically detects when a church goes live on YouTube and shows them in real time — no manual refreshing needed. Premium members can also follow specific churches and get notified the moment they go live.
What is Continue Watching?
When you're signed in and watch part of a sermon, ChurchGrid saves your progress. The Continue Watching row on the homepage picks up right where you left off. Free accounts track your most recent sessions; Premium members get full unlimited history.
How do I save a sermon to watch later?
Hit the bookmark icon on any sermon to add it to My List. You'll find your saved sermons under My List in the sidebar. Sign-in required.
What's the difference between sermons, shorts, and podcasts?
Sermons are full-length teaching videos from church services. Shorts are brief clips — usually highlights, devotionals, or quotes — under a few minutes. Podcasts are audio-first episodes, such as church conversation series or teaching podcasts. All three are indexed separately so you can filter to exactly what you want.
How do I follow a church?
Open any church profile and click the Follow button. Once followed, their latest sermons will appear in your Following feed, and Premium members will receive live stream alerts when that church goes live.
How do I search by topic or pastor?
Use the search bar at the top of any page. You can search by sermon title, church name, pastor name, or topic keyword. Premium members can also filter results by date range and pastor name specifically.
Is ChurchGrid available as a mobile app?
ChurchGrid is a mobile-optimized web app that works great in any browser on iPhone or Android. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience — tap the Share button in Safari or Chrome and choose "Add to Home Screen." A dedicated native app is on the roadmap.
For Churches
How did my church end up on ChurchGrid?
ChurchGrid discovers churches through publicly available sources including Google Places and YouTube. If your church has a public YouTube channel, your sermons are eligible to be indexed and made searchable on ChurchGrid. All content shown is already publicly available on YouTube — ChurchGrid makes it easier to find.
How do I claim my church listing?
Visit the Claim Your Church page, search for your church, and submit your contact information. Once we verify you're affiliated with the church, you'll get access to the Church Admin dashboard. From there you can update your profile, add service times, manage your sermon library, and control how your church appears on ChurchGrid.
How does ChurchGrid import sermons?
Sermons are imported automatically from your church's public YouTube channel every night. When your church is connected to a YouTube channel, all public videos are imported and indexed. New uploads are added within 24 hours of being published on YouTube. You can also trigger an immediate import at any time from the Church Admin dashboard.
Why is my church's information incorrect?
Church listings are initially generated automatically and may contain outdated or incomplete information from public sources. Claiming your church gives you full control to update your name, address, service times, denomination, pastor name, and social links. To report an error on an unclaimed church, email support@church-grid.com.
Can I request a church to be added?
Yes — visit the Churches page and use the "Request a Church" link to submit a church you'd like to see added. You can also email us at support@church-grid.com with the church name and YouTube channel link.
Can I remove my church from ChurchGrid?
Yes. Visit church-grid.com/opt-out, search for your church, and submit a removal request with your contact information. We review all requests and follow up within 2 business days. If approved, your church and its content will be removed from the public directory. Alternatively, claimed churches can manage their own listing visibility from the Church Admin dashboard.
What is Church Pro?
Church Pro is a premium tier for churches that want enhanced visibility on ChurchGrid. It includes a verified badge, priority placement in search results, featured placement options, and dedicated support. Church Pro is designed for churches that want to actively grow their reach — not just be listed. Visit church-grid.com/church-pro to learn more.
Does ChurchGrid control what sermons appear under my church?
ChurchGrid imports whatever is publicly available on your YouTube channel. Claimed churches can manage their sermon library from the Church Admin dashboard — including hiding specific videos or controlling what appears. If you have a DMCA or content concern, see our DMCA policy.
Premium & Billing
What is ChurchGrid Premium?
Premium is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks the full ChurchGrid experience: live stream alerts for followed churches, MultiStream (watch up to 6 services at once), AI-powered sermon notes, advanced search filters by pastor and date, unlimited watch history, and an ad-free experience. Watching sermons and discovering churches is always free — Premium is for people who want more.
What is MultiStream?
MultiStream is a Premium feature that lets you watch up to 6 live church services simultaneously in a grid layout. It's designed for Sunday mornings when you want to catch multiple churches at once — useful for church leaders, intercessors, or anyone who follows several congregations. Find it under MultiStream in the sidebar.
What are Sermon Notes?
Sermon Notes is a Premium feature that generates AI-powered notes for any sermon. Open a sermon, tap the Notes button, and ChurchGrid creates an outline with key scripture references, main points, and application questions. Your notes are saved to your account so you can come back to them anytime.

Visit church-grid.com/premium for current pricing. ChurchGrid Premium is billed monthly. You can cancel at any time — no contracts, no cancellation fees.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
You can cancel Premium at any time from your Profile page under Subscription Settings. Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period — you won't lose access the moment you cancel. For billing issues, email support@church-grid.com.
Is there a free trial for Premium?
Check the Premium page for current trial offers. We periodically run free trial promotions, especially around major Christian seasons.
