ChurchGrid(“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a sermon and live-stream directory that helps people discover churches, watch sermons, and connect with their faith community. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have when you use church-grid.com.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, your name if you provide it, and your password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us; we never receive your Google password.
Watch activity and preferences: We store your watch history, playback progress, saved sermons, followed churches, and notification preferences (for example, live alerts) so these features work across your devices.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use ChurchGrid, such as pages viewed, searches, and features used, through the analytics tools described below.
Security & device information: When you sign in or create an account, we record your IP address, approximate location (city, region, country), and device/browser type. We use this to secure accounts, prevent abuse, and understand where our audience is — not to track you across other websites. These sign-in logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Push notification tokens: If you turn on push notifications on a device, we store that device’s notification token so we can deliver the alerts you asked for.
Payment information: Premium, Church Pro, and advertising purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address, what you bought, and payment status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Church claim requests: If you ask to manage a church’s listing, we collect your contact email, phone number (optional), the church’s website, your role at the church, and any notes you add, linked to your account, so we can verify the request.
Church YouTube connection: If a church administrator connects the church’s YouTube channel, we receive and store OAuth tokens that let us identify the channel, download its captions, and read its YouTube Analytics. We use this only to verify the church, generate sermon notes and highlights, and show the church its own statistics. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google account permissions page and you can ask us to delete the stored tokens by contacting us.
Opt-out and removal requests: If you ask us to remove a church from ChurchGrid, we collect the church’s name and location, your name, your email address, and the reason you give, so we can verify and act on the request.
Advertisers: If you buy an ad or sponsored placement, we collect the advertiser name, contact email, the ad content you submit (label, image, link, and alt text), and, when you are signed in, your account ID.
Feedback and messages: If you send feedback or contact us, we receive your message and, if you provide it, your email address.
We do not sell your personal information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Service emails — such as account confirmations, password resets, and payment receipts — are part of using ChurchGrid and are sent regardless of your marketing choices.
Marketing and product emails — such as product announcements, live alerts, and the monthly recap we send to church administrators — include an unsubscribe link in every message. Click it to stop these emails at any time; you can also email support@church-grid.com.

Embedded YouTube videos may also set Google cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, you won’t be able to sign in.
We keep your account data while your account is active. Sign-in and security logs, including IP address and approximate location, are automatically deleted after 90 days. When you delete your account, we delete your account and its watch history, saved sermons, follows, and preferences, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons (for example, payment records held by Stripe). Church claim, removal, and advertising records are kept as long as needed to administer the listing or purchase and meet those obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to appeal a decision about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. To make any other privacy request, contact privacy@church-grid.com.
ChurchGrid is not directed to children under 13, and you must be 13 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls on our database. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page with an updated date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice, such as by email or a notice on the site.
