Better Together

You can be around all the right people and doing all the right things, but your heart can still slowly drift away from Jesus. Demas experienced this. He served alongside Paul, but somewhere along the way, his heart grew colder. Paul tells us that Demas deserted him because “he loved this present world.” (2 Timothy 4:10) This is a warning for all of us. Proximity to Jesus is not the same as passion for Jesus.
