“How should I approach God?” The Psalms of Ascent are a collection of 15 psalms (Psalms 120–134) traditionally sung by pilgrims as they traveled "up" to Jerusalem for the annual feasts (Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles). “Ascent” refers both to the physical ascent to Jerusalem (which sits on a hill) and the spiritual elevation as worshippers approach God.
