In today's message, Miracle Memorials – A Reminder to Remember, Pastor Elijah Eldredge challenges believers to confront one of the greatest struggles of faith: forgetting what God has already done. Throughout Scripture and personal application, this sermon reminds us that miracles are not meant to be momentary experiences—they are meant to be memorialized so our future faith stays connected to God’s past faithfulness. Drawing from Joshua 3–4, we are reminded of Israel standing on the edge of God’s promise—the land flowing with milk and honey—yet unsure how they would cross into it. With over 300 million people walking across the Jordan River on dry ground, God performed an undeniable miracle. But instead of rushing forward, He commanded them to pause and remember. The stones they gathered weren’t decoration; they were miracle memorials—deliberate reminders of divine intervention. A miracle memorial is defined as a purposeful act of remembrance that honors where God showed up, so we don’t disconnect our future from His faithfulness. We're reminded that God wants to fill us with everlasting joy, not temporary happiness. The joy of the Lord is our strength, and the enemy’s strategy is to steal our joy by making us forget what God has already done. We live in a world that trains us to forget. Judges 2 warns of a generation that knew about God but didn’t have intimate encounters with Him. They heard the stories, but they didn’t let the stories shape them. In a fast-paced culture where attention spans are shrinking and faith is often rushed, forgetfulness has become a spiritual problem. This sermon outlines three biblical ways to remember your miracles: 1. Write it down (Exodus 17:14) – God knows our memory fades. Journaling both small and big miracles anchors faith, especially during broken seasons. 2. Say it out loud – Sharing testimonies (Psalm 78:4) builds generational faith. Revelation 19 reminds us that our testimony has prophetic power—it declares
