In this powerful sermon, “Our Heart as a Tabernacle,” we uncover the truth that we were created to carry the presence of God. From the Garden of Eden to the Cross, Scripture reveals one consistent theme: God wants relationship. He wants nearness. He wants to dwell with His people. Psalm 23:4 reminds us that even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we do not have to fear — because He is with us. King David understood something powerful: God is not distant. God is present. Even in dark valleys, even in uncertain seasons, even when you feel alone — God has never left you. The enemy’s strategy is fear. Fear works when people do not truly know God or understand His Word. The devil wants fear to build a wall between you and Jesus. But when you know God’s Word, you can clearly see His plan. You recognize His protection. You discern His voice. From the beginning, God designed closeness. In the Garden, He walked with Adam and Eve. In Exodus 33:7, the tent of meeting became a place where God met with His people. In 2 Chronicles 7:1, the glory of the Lord filled the temple. Throughout Scripture, whenever God was invited, His presence showed up. Today, we are no longer waiting for a physical tabernacle — we are the tabernacle. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 declares that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We were bought with a price — the precious blood of Jesus. Ephesians 2:13 reminds us that we were once far from God, but through the blood of Christ, we have been brought near. Through faith, Christ now dwells in our hearts. We are earthly tabernacles carrying heavenly glory. That means we carry His presence everywhere we go. So the question becomes: Does our lifestyle honor His presence? Does the atmosphere we create make God feel welcomed? Are the places we go and the things we watch drawing us closer to Him — or pulling us away? Consecration is not restriction; it is preparation. To be consecrated means to be set apart, marked by God, sacred, and
