In this powerful sermon from 1 Chronicles 29:1–9, we learn that the church is not built for man—it exists to glorify God. God invites His people to participate in building His house, not because He needs our resources, but because He chooses to work through us to accomplish His purpose. Every act of generosity becomes an act of worship, a declaration that everything in our hands belongs fully to Him. Giving is not a burden; it is a joy-filled privilege that aligns our hearts with God’s heart. This message reminds us that tithes and offerings are the two major biblical categories of giving. The tithe—the first ten percent—belongs to God, and anything given above that becomes a free-will offering. We don’t give to the church; we give through the church as an act of obedience. Wholehearted, willing giving produces unity, joy, and spiritual maturity. God never looks at the amount—He looks at the sacrifice behind the gift. Scripture shows over and over that generosity is central to our faith. John 3:16 demonstrates the ultimate act of giving: the Father offering His Son for the salvation of mankind. Our motive must always be love for God, not what we may receive in return. Jesus Himself highlights sacrificial giving in Luke 21:1–4, reminding us that even the smallest seed matters when it carries great faith. Never talk down your seed—Jesus makes a big deal out of what looks small to man. We are also challenged to consider where our hope truly rests. According to 1 Timothy 6:17–18, those with more resources face greater temptation to rely on wealth instead of God. True generosity is often easier when you have little, because it exposes your dependence on the Lord. Hebrews 13:16 teaches that God is pleased with sacrifice, especially when it stretches us beyond comfort. This message prepares the church for Super Sunday, a day of rejoicing, prayer, and extravagant faith. With great vision comes great provision, and as we close the year in faith, we step into our miracle
