Join us this weekend as we begin a new sermon series based in the Book of Esther. Today, we hear an introduction and overview of the book. We’ll hear about how God is at work even when we don’t see him. Talk About It! - Where in your life have you tended to view pain or waiting as punishment from God? - In what areas of your life are you most tempted to believe that God is not actually in control? How do you tend to behave in seasons when you don't feel like God has a plan? - How do your personal choices matter in a world that is ruled by a sovereign God? — God still works through morally ambiguous characters. He invites us to look for evidence of him even when it’s not obvious to us. He is always at work behind the scenes. God is the hero in the story of Esther and Mordecai and their people. God is speaking to us off the pages, and he is in control. He is evident in every seemingly insignificant decision. He is the one who can draw the threads of this drama together, and he has not abandoned us in our time.
