Brokenness is often seen as the end of the road, but in God’s hands, even shattered pieces can carry you to purpose. In this dynamic message, Dr. Oscar Williams reminds us that you can still make it, even when life has left you broken. In Acts 27, Paul sets sail for Rome, but a raging storm threatens to take him under. Though he warns the crew, they ignore him and press forward—only to find themselves shipwrecked. All hope seems lost until Paul delivers a word from God: “Fear not…you will survive this.” Though the ship is destroyed, they make it to shore—some swimming, others holding onto broken pieces. Just like Paul, many of us find ourselves in situations where we’ve lost control, facing circumstances beyond our strength. We’ve encountered storms we didn’t anticipate, and at times, we’ve even felt abandoned. Yet, just as God sustained Paul, He will sustain you. Many of us are in seasons where life has broken us—perhaps through the loss of a loved one, the collapse of a business, a betrayal, or the weight of past mistakes. But God doesn’t discard what’s broken; He redeems it. You may not have made it the way you envisioned, but you will make it. Even in brokenness, God invites us to trust Him fully. Just as Paul held onto God’s promise in the storm, we too must anchor ourselves in faith, remembering that “His strength is made perfect in our weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). What is the “broken piece” in your life that God is calling you to hold onto? Reflect on what remains and trust that He is leading you to your next destination. You can still make it— broken.
