Learn more - www.summitconnect.org Paul writes to the young Colossian church from a prison cell, and claims to be joyful in his suffering. What does he mean? Is he suggesting that suffering is what God wants for us? Not at all. Paul is reminding us that suffering will continue to be a part of our experience in this fallen world. But, in our willingness to endure hardship for the sake of the gospel, we share with the world around us a life-saving secret: Christ is available to each and every one of us. The gospel is for me, too! When we suffer for the sake of someone gaining life in Christ, we stand in solidarity with Jesus who suffered that we might live.
