HOW TO BE THE CHURCH // Join us this weekend as we begin Acts Movement I. Today, we hear an introduction to the Book of Acts. We’ll hear about the early church and how we can look back to move forward together. — We get to be in the story of the history of the Church. Just as the early church played a significant role in the Book of Acts, so do we still today. This history is a traveling story—a story on the move. It’s not just history, but what continues to happen. The early church’s mission of Jesus, who he is, and what he brings us is the same mission of the Church today. And we aren’t just people biding time, satisfied with a nice church service and comfortable message, but actively placing our hope in the coming kingdom of God. We are to be witnesses of Jesus—to everyone.
