Find resources for further study in the 2020 Advent devotional, linked below. — The wise men typically included in Nativity sets may not have actually been present with Jesus at the manger, but they were absolutely included as some of the first to worship him on earth. The news of Jesus' arrival was good news to them because they were outsiders, and yet they were invited in anyway. Their inclusion signaled a seismic shift, and the news of Jesus’ birth is good news for us because it was good news for them first. The good news is that peace—to be at peace with God, with others, and within ourselves—is available to us.
