Is there an objective truth, outside of ourselves, by which we can determine right and wrong? — In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul argues that there is an objective truth—a right way to see things—and if you’re willing to look through that lens, there’s no human problem without a solution. However, this letter is not so much a list of right and wrong but a guide to forming values based on the truth and good news of Jesus. Our values shape us, so it’s important to hold our values up against the truth of Jesus. The values that can shape your worldview—the lens through which you look at life and relationships, and how you judge what’s wise—are from Jesus: love God and love your neighbor.
