Jesus was fully human and fully God. It’s an amazing, incredible, and challenging truth to wrestle with. So often, we focus on his power—which we shouldn't disregard—but what did he care about as a man? What made his heart beat fast? What caused him to stop what he was doing in order to care for someone? If Jesus is God with skin on, we should pause and reflect on these deeply human moments so we can more fully know the heart of God. This week, we see Jesus in the midst of one of his busiest times. He’s on the move, and his disciples need rest, but the people he came into the world to save are right in front Him. What does he do? How does he handle the interruption? How does he respond when those closest to him are maxed out?
